Fall Festivals Are Fun!

By golly, what a great time we had during our annual Fall Festival & Fellowship on the 21st of October!  Vendors and customers alike joined in all the games and enjoyed getting to know each other.  As you can see here, Josie and fellow customer were in the thick of our Scavenger Hunt looking for each of the items that eventually lead to a prize!

You should have seen the participants at "Muscial Chairs", that was funny seeing all those ladies compete for the last chair when the music stopped!  Jane and Kim were top notch "Music Miesters" and made the game a lot of fun.

Naturally, mom did a great job at organizing the fun events.  Here she is awarding a prize to some nice ladies who were "quick at the seat".

If you didn't get to join us that evening, please do for our 6th Annual Thanksgiving Celebration on November 18th, 6:30 ~ 8:30pm.  We'll be serving a nice turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and of course you'll enjoy a STORE WIDE SALE TOO!

Also, if you haven't participated in any of Jane's scrapbooking classes here at the store, you're missing out on a lot of fun!  Her next Store Class is scheduled for the 13th, and is limited to 10 seats.  She's going to show you how to make a 12 page "Card Kit".  You can drop by the store to secure your reservation, they're going fast!  Here's a sample of her class room in action, with Tammy teaching crafters how to make a "Bag Brag Book"....

Also, did you know we have monthly "Vendor Challenges"?  This is where we give vendors the opportuntiy to show off their crafting skills by creating something new out of something else.  Like our "clothes pin" challenge last month.  You'd be amazed at what they can do when they take a simple item like a clothes pin and add their special touches of painting, gluing, dabbing, altering, etc.  Here's a small sample of their work.  Do you notice the battery operated motorized clothes pin "Merry Go Round" with the tiny riders on it?  Yep, that's a guys thing for sure... Ernest (#1939) contributed that one.

This month's Vendor Challenge is all about paper roll tubes.  Vendors will alter or repurpose a paper roll tube into something new, fun, and crafty!  Please check out their entries each month, you'll find them at the front door on the display table and attached to the display rack in the front window.  Yet another "Fun-To-Shop" feature of Alamo Craft Company for you to enjoy when you drop by.

Lastly, there's a rumor going around that I was going Trick or Treating on Halloween!  Seems a certain vendor (by the name of Bianca) took my photo after waking me up from one of my cat naps and said it was a snap shot of my Halloween Scream Mask.  Not true!  I'm a scardy cat on Halloween!

Well, that's about it for now ya'll.  And until next time, take care of each other and be safe!

See you real soon, OK?
