Viva La Fiesta!

Wow!  What a "Fun-To-Shop" Fiesta Sale-abration we had last Saturday!  No doubt San Antonio is in full swing celebrating ~ you should have seen all the customers dressed up in their Fiesta wear.... shopping for their next big Fiesta events.  And speaking of such, we had a $25 Gift Certificate Give-a-way Contest for customers who came in dressed up for Fiesta.  Let's give Carmen Leach a big hand for winning ~ way to go Carmen!  Enjoy your favorite craft mall shopping spree!

Happy Springtime Everyone!

Yeaaaaah, it's official today!  It's Springtime!  

Oh how I enjoy spring.  The wonderful rains, the pleasant weather, and everything is popping up green and beginning to bloom!  I love going out into the garden every morning with dad.  We check out the new buds on the trees, and the seedlings popping up.... peeking out of their cozy winter havens.  And the birds are in full chorus serenading their love songs, looking for mates.  It's all absolutely wonderful!

Get out and take advantage of the season this spring, it's meant to be enjoyed by all... and before you know it it'll be over.  And while you're out and about, drop by and see us!  There are so many wonderful Spring, Easter and Fiesta hand crafted items to enjoy... with new items arriving daily!

Oh!  I almost forgot!  I you just happen to have some freshly picked catnip out of your garden... do bring me a sample... I'd LOVE to try it out! ;^)

Happy New Year Y'all!

Wow!  What an exciting Christmas Season!  It sure was fun enjoying everyone's company as they shopped for that perfect gift for friends and loved ones.  Of course, the home baked Christmas cookies set out each day didn't hurt either ;^) 

I worked overtime greeting and helping customers, making sure they felt welcome and loved.  Best of all, everyone was smiling, humming Christmas songs, and wishing each other "Merry Christmas" all month long!  Christmas just seems to bring out the best of us.  I hope we carry this spirit with us throughout the New Year.  And, as you can see here in the photo below, I'm catching up on my rest after volunteering as one of Santa's helpers...

Oh yeah!  You should have heard the "I DID?" responses of the FIVE customers who found out they each won $100 Shopping Sprees!  They were SOOO... excited.  Two have already been in and redeemed theirs, and what fun they had! 

As for January, it's going to be a "Fun-To-Shop" month also!  Plus, don't forget about the many classes we host.  In addition to quilting, Crafters Circle, and Miss Kim's paper creations class, this month we have a new class, "Locker Hooking" by Becky!  I tell you, Miss Becky has the master's touch when it comes to crafting with fabric and thread!

Lastly, I had a boo-boo fixed on Monday.  Dad noticed I hadn't eaten well the night before and that I was also having trouble eating my breakfast that morning.  So he took a look in my mouth and found that I had a broken tooth, ouch!  He took me to Heritage Animal Hospital to see Dr. Ehrlund, who had to pull my tooth out!  Dr. E and her staff are the sweetest and most caring I've ever visited.  If you need a new pet doctor, please check her out at http://heritagevetsa.vetstreet.com/, you'll be glad you did!

Blessed Thanksgivings!

As you know, in three weeks we'll be celebrating Thanksgiving Day with feasts abounding our tables, shared with the ones we love.  It's good to celebrate such an occasion, it allows us the opportunity to count our blessings, create new and cherished memories, and pledge to offer our best in humble recognition of our Creator's generous blessings.  Have a blessed Thanksgiving Y'all.  ~Rosa  

Btw, don't eat too much turkey & tamales , save room for some of that pecan & pumpkin pie (and maybe a small bite for me ~ I LOVE roasted turkey)!
